after the wild heat race savatgy lined up for the main event look-
ing to notch back-to-back wins. the main event started off with
savatgy getting a mediocre start buried behind a handful of riders.
Early on he linked up with fellow title contender Cooper Webb and tried to charge to the lead. Savatgy was able to follow Webb up into the top 3 early on but would eventu- ally lose some ground and would slowly lose touch of him. Late in the race Webb would go down giving Savatgy another chance to take the second place position but he was unable to capitalize and he would stay and finish in third place. It was a tough night for Savatgy coming off of a great race win but he was a bit under the weather and will use this week to get healthy and come back strong for San Deigo II.
