“Holeshot to getting body slammed by a 450... Today was rough...” That was six weeks
ago at the Road to Mammoth Oatfield Qualifier. Corbin Hayes launched himself in to a great starting position, swapped, and then in a cloud of dust another rider hit his bike, endo’d
and that bike slammed directly into Corbin. The resulting injuries were snapped transverse processes on his L1-L5 on his left side. Flash forward to June 4-5, 2016 at the Midwest Regional, a mere six weeks after a broken back, and only two days back on the bike – Corbin was an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. If I hadn’t seen that gnarly get off with my own eyes, I would have never believed this dude had to take any time off.
