>> A little Deja Vu for Justin Hill as he returns to the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team for the 2017 season. Even after missing the majority of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series, Mitch Payton says “we can work with speed” and that is something Justin Hill certainly has. His raw SX speed lands him one more opportu- nity to get a 250 SX title on the infamous Pro Circuit Kawasaki race rig door. The first gate drop of 2017 seemed like a prac- tice day at the Kawasaki test track for Justin Hill and Austin Forkner. Coming from behind in 250 heat one, Hill stayed calm and worked up to a 3rd place position. Catching rookie Austin Forkner in the closing laps, the two were side by side in a few different sections and looked as though they were in a Pro Circuit Kawasaki photoshoot. The main event was quite similar as Hill and Forkner found each other once again. This time it was in the middle of the pack and the two teammates were on a mission to get on the podium. The two continued their journey towards the front of the pack until they met around 6th place. Riding side by side once again, but this time a little too close for comfort. The two almost collided while blitzing the tops of the deteriorating whoops and unfortunately caused Forkner’s front end to drop. The rookie flew over the handlebars and ended his chances at a top five finish. As the race settled down Justin sat comfortably in a top five position and finished the race 5th place overall.
