>> With the departure of Ken Roczen in the offseason, RCH Suzuki brought in Geico standout Justin Bogle to fill the void. Bogle had a handful of solid rides on a 450 last season and the team was hoping they could keep him healthy so he could throw down some more of those solid performances. The Oklahoma native was especially excited for Anaheim 1 because he was entering a season completely healthy for a change and he was happy for a fresh start under a new ban- ner. He had been a Geico rider his entire professional career until now. Bogle went out and finished sixth in his heat race and then grabbed second in his semi after running down 450 rookie and 250 standout Cooper Webb. He looked fresh and energetic and ready to contend on his RCH machine. Unfortunately he could not keep that mojo from the semi with him as he started way back in fifteenth in the main event. He made work of Justin Brayton early and tried latching onto
his RCH teammate Broc Tickle and move toward the front. The two made ground on Dean Wilson and both eventually got around him in the latter stages of the race. Bogle would then get around Tickle at about the same time and slide into twelfth place heading into the final laps. He would hold on to finish there but has to be disappointed with his start. He knows if he gets a good one he can easily be in the top ten.
