>> The veteran Kyle Chisolm started off the 2017 Supercross season on a high note. Coming off a bad injury last year he only got a few races under his belt. Ready for a fresh start the veteran to the class started the night off strong. The MotoConcepts Honda rider powered through his heat race finishing off in sixth place. Transferring directly into the main the #11 Honda rider had a great gate pick giving him that extra edge up off the start. Putting the power to the ground he was able to pull off a fourth place start right behind the heavy hitters of Mcelrath, Davalos, and Melross. After Melross had some bike issues Chisolm moved into third,
but Plessinger was close behind and managed to get the pass in sending him back to fourth. The heat was continuous for Chisolm with Oldenburg and Reardon putting the pressure on behind him. Unable to stay ahead of them he slowly fell back to sixth place. As the race progressed it continued in this pattern of the Moto Con- cepts Honda rider just slowly falling further and further away from the front, until he settled around ninth place. Holding down his po- sition Jimmy Decotis was all over him. Working hard not to let him pass Chisolm was eyeing that finish line. With only a minute left
of the race smooth operator Jimmy Decotis passes him, sending Chisolm back one more spot. Now in tenth place the race wound down to the end. The #11 was able to hold onto that last top ten spot starting the new season within the top ten and showing a lot of potential. The speed is there it is just going to take him holding onto those spots.
