Bobby Fong had the perfect start and end to the 2016 season MotoAmerica season in the Superstock 1000 class. The twenty- six year old did the double at the first round of the series at Circuit of the Americas
and he capped off the year with two more victories at New Jersey Motorsports Park in the final round of the season. Last year was his first season on a 1000cc machine as he’s spent most of his career primarily competing in the Supersport class. It was
a big learning curve for Fong as he had to change his riding habits and adapt to the more powerful machinery; changing every- thing from his cornering technique to his riding style due to the advanced electron- ics available at his disposal. The defending Superstock 1000 Champion, Josh Herrin, has decided to make the move to the Motul Superbike class, therefore making Fong one of the favorites to grab the title after
the ten round series runs it’s course.
