He was able to match the pace of Yamaha rider throughout the majority of the
race as the two of them turned practically identical lap times, but his late race
pace was a little bit off compared to the defending Superstock 600 Champion,
and he fell back in the final laps. Nonetheless, O’Hara managed to score a thirteenth place finish overall, seventh in the Superstock 1000 classification.
In the second race, O’Hara improved his time yet again as he dropped into
the 2:13 range and he found himself battling with Prince once again. This time around they were joined by the Yamaha of Max Flinders and the trio duked it out from start to finish. O’Hara was able to hold off the British born rider, finish- ing one tenth apart from each other at the line, as he scored a sixteenth place overall, and eighth place in the Superstock class.
