Justin Hill was a force to be reckoned with when the day started in Daytona. Justin showed impressive speed all day by dominating qualifying, getting him the #1 gate pick going into the night show. when 250 Heat 2 began, Justin got a great jump and was rounding the first lap in 2nd place. Hill made a small mistake and would slip to
3rd, but still ended up qualifying 3rd for the Main. The gate was ready to be dropped for Justin and the rest of the 250 Main Event in Daytona. As the riders took off down the start straight, Justin was right there. He was able to come around the first lap in 6th and set his sights on the top 5. Suddenly on lap 7, Justin had made his way into 4th and it was a 4 way battle for the win as the top 4 were only separated by 2 seconds. On lap 9, Justin would go inside of Davalos to make a clean pass for 3rd. He would charge towards the leaders. With 5 to go, Justin was doing everything he could to get into 2nd place but nothing was working. With 3 to go, a change for the lead was made and Justin would go after Malcolm Stewart who was now in 2nd place. With 2 laps to go, Stewart and Hill make contact in the beginning of a rhythm section and drag race down the straight away. Hill would take the spot from Stewart and set his sights on Martin. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough time left and Hill would have to settle for a very commendable 2nd place in Daytona.
