the Crafty Frenchman started his day off in Daytona with an impres-
sive effort to finish 2nd in qualifying. Christophe’s effortless style
proved to be the fast way around the chewed up Daytona track. As
night fell and the racing began, the big bikes were ready to race Daytona. Christophe bolted out of the gate in 450 Heat 1. He was passed by fellow Frenchman Marvin Musquin early on but the #377 put on an impressive ride to finish 2nd in his Heat. He would go to the Main with confidence. As the Gate dropped for the last time in Daytona, the crowd was ready for another exciting Main. Christophe got a great start and was doing all he could to stay in the top 3. Unfortunately the pressure got to him and he went down. He got back up in an impressive 8th. Pourcel would be scored with 8th in the Main in Daytona after a crash. This was Chritophes most impressive ride so far in his rookie season this year. He would go to Toronto with motiva- tion and confidence.
