MARTIN DAVALOS
If age pays dividends with experience and rewards, look no further than Martin Davalos. every racer needs to have a detailed plan of how to conquer the series and make their mark on the sport, and Davalos has done just that; albeit a little unusual, it seems to be
working, as he nails contracts year after year.
There isn’t any substitute for talent and fast laptimes, period. The Ecuador native is always a threat, whether the test track or stadium, to claim the pole and sit atop the leaderboard come nightfall.
Atlanta was surprising to many to say the least. Not necessarily in the sense that Davalos was fast in qualifying or actually leading the race, but the fact that he remained upright and won; doing so in very impressive
fashion. The Husqvarna rider has been competing here since 2006; so he knows what to expect, and plans on
capitalizing on the inexperience of his peers.
