the lCQ getting the holeshot and leading it from gate drop to checkers gaining his first
lCQ career win. Having the small boost of confidence from his good start last week the #30 aimed to do that again without the crash this go round, but didn’t quite make the cut getting a 16th place start. He quickly moved forward to 13th by lap 4 he was passing for 12th. Keeping the momentum going early on in the race he was able to work his way into 11th after Bisceglia makes a mistake. as the race nears its halfway point he passes Bowers and another rider and is 9th. with just two laps to go he moves up another position and is then in 8th. But as the checkered flag was waved Mcelrath makes his way through the finish in 10th due to a couple small mistakes giving the guys behind him the extra edge needed to pass him. Mcelrath finishes Daytona off with a 10th place finish. this is just the beginning for the tlD/ red Bull KtM rider, after some more seat time we’ll be seeing him back up front battling it out for the win again.
