>> As Aaron Plessingers former teammates Cooper Webb and Jeremy Martin left the YamaLube Yamaha Tent the team looked to Plessinger to become their title hope. Aaron has proved that he has what it takes to win races and 2017
was his time to prove that he could be a title contender. After the first 4 races of the year Aaron landed on the podium twice and it seemed as the fan favourite
of Plessinger was ready to contend for the title. Since then Aaron has landed
on the podium five more times including a race win in moto one in Tennessee. Misfortune has also struck the #23 as he has three DNFs so far. Aaron is now 6th in points and over 100 points behind Osborne who is leading the title chase. The Yamaha rider skipped out of racing at Southwick due to a crash where he received a concussion and a sore neck. It has been two weeks since then and Aaron was looking to make up on some lost ground. AP was outside of the top
5 at the very beginning of race one but his long legs helped him get upto 4th through the Millville whoops. Aaron was right behind 3rd place rider RJ Hamp- shire for nearly half of the race before he decided to hit the gnarliest rut on the track wide open with his feet off of the pegs. A solid third in race one gave Aaron a good chance of landing on the podium overall on the day. Sadly Aaron went backwards in moto two after starting in 4th. Plessinger was still in a solid 7th for nearly the entire race until he had some late moto problems that dropped the #23 to 12th. Regardless it was a solid weekend for Aaron.
