VET 40+
Joe Buskirk dominated the Vet 40+ class with multiple 1st place finishes throughout both days
of racing. Eric Edwards scored a pair of 2nd
place finishes and Aaron Mayhugh took his Yamaha to the final spot on the podium with a consistent showing of 3rd place finishes. The Illinois native of Buskirk started 3rd place behind the eventual overall podium finishers; it only took him the opening lap
to work his way into the lead and he never looked back, putting a 15 second gap on 2nd position by
the time the checkered
flag was waved. Edwards and Mayhugh put in solid performances in 2nd and 3rd position, respectively, throughout the rest of the moto. In the second moto, Buskirk put his KTM into 2nd position on the opening lap, just half a tenth behind the Oklahoma native of Mayhugh.
