The Texas native of Allen set the fastest lap of the race once he adopted the lead from Smith, main- taining a 5 second gap that he had built over the 2nd place rider of Jarvis. Jarvis closed up on Allen at the end of the race, but it wasn’t quite enough to challenge for the victory, although it was enough to secure 3rd place overall throughout both motos.
