Cobra’s Casey Cochran worked his way up to the podium after a 5th place start; he worked his way past Grant Sweeney on the second lap, shortly thereafter he began to chase down the 3rd place rider of Janik. The Illinois native on the Kawasaki put in an incredibly solid performance on his new team, but Cochran was just able to steal the final spot on the podium from him on the very last lap. Renfro replicated his per- fect performance from the first moto yet again at the start of the second, pulling the holeshot and holding onto the lead for the remainder of the race.
