He was able to put some time into fellow Kawasaki rider, Jayden Clough, as Hymas; Lassiter; and Bennett lurked behind the pair waiting to pounce. Bennett set the fastest lap of the race on lap two, almost half a second faster than anyone else; he worked his way through the pack after a 6th place start and eventually passed his way from 4th to 2nd on the final lap. Hymas rode the entirety of the race in 3rd position, staying calm and collected while his competitors swapped positions around him, and his consistency paid off as it put him 3rd overall in the class.
