Kaeden Amerine rode his 85cc machine with poise and perfection
en route to an overall victory and a clean sweep of the Mini Sr. 2 class. Texas’ Branden Walther swapped
3-2 finishes with fellow Texan Larry Reyes. Jr as the KTM rider took 2nd overall with the better second moto. Amerine put his Rides Unlimited KTM at the front of the field from the first corner onward and he rode a flawless race from start to finish, withstanding immense amounts of pressure from Walther throughout the opening laps. Eventually, he greeted the checkered flag approximately 10 seconds ahead of Husqvarna’s Larry Reyes Jr. Amerine showed his speed by putting the fastest lap of the race in on the fourth lap, but he backed it down on the final lap in order to secure his victory. Reyes Jr. was forced to make a couple of passes after starting outside of the podium positions, but he had already worked his way into a podium position on the second lap after he found his way around Chandler Baker.
