The two of them pushed each other as they built a gap at the front of the field, slowly pulling away from Ramyller Alves who had worked his way into the final podium position. On the fifth lap, Albertson set the fastest lap of the race and found his way around Harrison for the lead. The KTM rider didn’t let Albertson’s Suzuki escape into the distance, he kept the gap just around 1 second and passed him back for the lead on the penultimate lap, giving the spectators one of the battles of the weekend. Alves rode consistent laps in 3rd place to round out the podium as Curren Thurman took his Husqvarna from a
6th place start to a 4th place finish. Thurman’s Husky hooked up good on the concrete in the second moto as he ripped the holeshot ahead of Harrison. He rode an electric pace at the front of the field and kept Harrison behind him for more than half the moto, clocking the fastest time of the race in the process. On the seventh lap, Harrison was able to make the move on Thurman and put a couple of seconds into the Husqvarna rider, earning himself another moto victory to clinch the overall. Meanwhile, the battle for the final podium spot was heating up as Alves began to put pressure on Albertson. The fans didn’t know which duel to keep their eyes on as both sets of riders were side by side for multiple corners, but Alves was eventually able to make the pass stick on Top Jimmy and come out with the overall podium as well.
