Jack Lambert put his Yamaha on the top step of the podium in both motos which gave him the undisputed overall victory in the Vet 50+ class. The KTM rider of Dave LaFond finished both motos in 2nd and the Honda pilot of Bryan Jackson finished both motos in 3rd, completing the overall podium. Lambert started the first moto tucked into 2nd place behind Texas’ Bryan Jackson; he rode around a second behind the Honda for the first couple of laps, eventually working his way into the number one ride on the third lap. He held onto the lead for the remainder of the moto and eventually won ahead of the Kansas native
of Dave LaFond. LaFond followed Lambert through into 2nd position the very next lap, but he wasn’t able to close the gap to the lead.
