JORDON SMITH
Jordon Smith has sewn together an impressive first full 250 West Coast season. We will see the Geico Honda rider back in action this weekend in Las Vegas as the west coast series resumes for the finale and the two coasts go head to head in the shootout. Smith has had a lot of success
this season and he has been up front in nearly every race. His starts have been masterful and that may be credited to his training at MTF because we’ve seen fellow MTF rider Dakota Alix nail his starts out east as well. Those great starts have gotten him in great spots early in races and have certainly helped him gain vital experience running with the likes of Cooper Webb and Joey Savatgy. But even when he doesn’t get a decent start, he has been able to claw his way forward into the top five in impressive fashion. The young rider has a bright future ahead of him if he can continue to improve on his consistency. That has been the main problem for him throughout his short career. We have seen him crash while running up front all too often and those falls have put a damper on his results. If he can keep it on two wheels, he will be a force in the years to come.
