To the disadvantage of Webb, the final round of the series for both coasts saw rain ruin the normal west coast flat flow and turn the championship built course into pure brutality. With the west getting the first slot in the program on Saturday night, the first few laps proved to be
the smoothest of the night. Get- ting out to a decent start, Webb took a
5th across lap one before getting together with Savatgy, his rival, and losing a spot to Mitchell Oldenburg on lap two. Clearly not at his usual intensity, Cooper rode in 6th before getting around Decotis on lap four. With two laps left, the silent fire of Webb finally ignited where he put on a charge
to finish in 3rd after getting back around Oldenburg and then around Alex Martin in
the final straightaway of the race.
