What a night for the Rockstar Husqvarna rider of Zach Osborne. Las Vegas had everyone gambling with the weather, and Zacho was all in. After qualifying 4th overall in the the 250 class with a 1:04.435 the #16 was poised to stand on the podium for the third race in a row. Osborne lined up for the first event of the night and with rain coming down hard on the already destroyed track Osborne got a good jump
in his heat race and came across the holeshot line in 2nd. Moments later he gets tangled up with another rider dropping him to near last. The damage was done and Zach was headed to his first LCQ of the season. The #16 got off to another great start in his LCQ and pulled the holeshot. Colt Nichols was able to get around Zach early in lap one. After a smart 2nd place ride in the last chance qualifier it was time to prepare for the gruelling main event. If Zacho could have pulled one final top 5 start like he did all day we might have seen a different race winner in Vegas. Finishing the opening lap in 11th place is not how the veteran wanted the main event to start out. The rain that the Nevada desert got made the final AMA supercross track full of lines for the racers to use. Although starting outside of the top 10 it was clear that Zach had the speed to run up front. By lap 7 @zacho_16 was in 5th and continuing to charge for the lead. With only two laps remaining the hard charger made his way around newly crowned East Coast champion Malcolm Stewart. The lead Savatgy made him- self was to much for Osborne to overcome and 2nd was as good as it was going to get. A come from behind to 2nd place finish is a great boost in confidence as the season is at a close and the Outdoor Nationals just upon the horizon.
