The right cards didn’t land in the hands of Mitchell Oldenburg at the final round of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross series in Las Vegas, Nevada. With a lap time of 1:06.071 Mitchell qualified 16th, it was clear that the a lot of work needed to be done before the night program. The West coast heat race roared out of the gate on the very soft and muddy Vegas track and
Oldenburg found himself in a safe transfer position. Back to back West Coast champion, Cooper Webb battled against the likes of Oldenburg for the majority of the race, eventually leaving the KTM rider in 5th. Bad starts left Mitchell in near last on the opening lap of the 250 main event. At one point @freckle_42 was all the way back in 17th before finding his groove and remounted a charge towards the top 10. Mitchell got 12th in the main event and finished 6th in the championship standings. The number 42 put in some great rides this season and has shown that he deserves to race on a factory tuned machine. With four top 5 finishes, and seven top 10 finishes, it was a season to remember. Congratulations on your best supercross season to date and we hope your luck continues in the great outdoors.
