After posting lap times in qualifying that were fast enough to be well within the main event, Peters was determined to finish the season on a high note. The rain made a HUGE change to the track and made nearly a 30 second lap time difference by the time the main event started. Peters crashed off of the start in his heat race, finishing inside the top 9 for a qualifying position was out of the question once he got up and rolling. Peters elected to stay out on the
track and get as much track time as possible to prepare himself for the last chance qualifier. It was time to hit the track once again for the #40, he pulled a top 5 start on his Ride365 Honda and was right on the bubble of transferring to the main event. With two laps remaining Kyle knew he had to start making moves if he wanted any hope to be in the main event. Both Fredrick Noren and Peters got tangled up in the whoop sections and destroyed their main event hopes. On the plus side 2016 has been a good one for Peters and his team as Peters was able to be put himself into the top 10 at every round but Vegas, finishing 8th in the point standings.
