@cHIcKEN31LITTLE , Tyson Johnson is currently a very fast Supermini racer as he usually in in contention for moto wins and overal victories. Johnson has also been giving it his all in the Schoolboy B/c (12-16) class to prepare himself for when he is done with the 85 machines. It was no different at the california classic as the #31 of Johnson lined up for all three usual classes,
Supermini 1 (12-15), Supermini 2 (13-16), and of course Schoolboy B/c (12-16). Tyson got off to a great start in his first Schoolboy moto and came around the first lap in second place behind moto winner Derek Drake. Tyson got shuffled back quickly and was pushed to 9th by the checkers. If you check out the lap times you will see that the #31 did excellent as he ran his own pace and rode very consistent. His best lap was a 1:39.159 and his worst was a 1:40.887, proving that he is learning from his role model on letting the race come to him and not pushing the limits. In the second Schoolboy moto Tyson started just outside of the top 5 and eventually fell back to 10th. Again keeping all of his lap times close together other than lap 6 where he dropped about 12 seconds and fell from 8th to 10th. Tyson had a DNS is the third moto, which could have been just a bent up bike from his moto two crash. Just wait until the 31 get more seat time in the bigger class as he will become a contender in no time.
