Jumping down to the Supermini 1 class Johnson was looking for a championship. Starting outside of the top five hindered Tyson’s on a moto win as title contenders started up front. Johnson put his head down and managed to get 4th by the end of the race. Race two started almost identical as the first race but Johnson made moves early and found himself in a podium
position on lap 2. The EMT Kawasaki racer did everything he could to hold of moto 1 winner Jo Shimoda but had to
settle for 4th as Shimoda seemed to be on the next level. Johnson didn’t want to finish the class without a podium finish and he came out roaring in the third and final Supermini 1 moto. Finally starting near the front Tyson found himself chasing point leader Shimoda, although the #31 couldn’t keep pace with the #47 at the early stages of the race Tyson set the fastest lap of the race on the very last lap and kept Shimoda in sight all moto. When the Classic was all said and down T.J. 31 was able to come home with a title in the Supermini 2 (13-16) class. Battling hard with the likes of Max Miller, Aiden Tijero, Carson Mumford, Jo Shimoda, and more, coming home with a supermini title was a huge accomplishment. Tyson had moto scores of 2-5-4 and received the championship, it was crazy how many racers could have won this title. With all of the contenders having one bad race Tyson was able to sneak the victory and leave the Classic with a smile on his face.
