JO SHIMODA
Jo Shimoda has been making a name for himself in the sport for a while now. Jo grew up along side his dad racing motocross in their home country of Japan. It was just a matter of time before Jo swung his leg over a bike. He has been riding for 9 years now and had been coming to the USA off and on for about 3 years until he was able to move to california full time just 2 years ago. Jo had a lack of competition in Japan and his dream was to come
to America to race faster riders and he was able to make it happen with the support of his
family. He now has a full time mechanic, Cameron, who helps him with many things including the language barrier here in America. He has a goal to race pro supercross and motocross in America and seems to be on the fast track to reach it. The 13 year old is very fast and has the confidence as well. At the Daytona RCSX, Joe was able to beat competitors like Swoll and Kobusch straight up, and grab the championship in Supermini (12-15). Last year at Loretta Lynn’s, he was able to come out with a 3rd overall in the Mini Sr. 1 class. Top 5 in any class at Loretta Lynn’s is no fluke, and Jo is ready to prove he has what it takes yet again. Jo Shimoda barely missed out on championships at Freestone this year and is ready to take back the top spot. He will be a number 1 contender for years to come.
