Derek Drake was no
joke on mini bikes and
now that he’s on 125’s
he’s still crazy fast. The
cal classic was his first race back since a crash took him out right before>> Freestone. No one would have known Drake was even hurt by the way
he was riding. The KTM rider signed up for two classes both of which
he got podium finishes. The first one being the
125 (12-16) B/c where he went 3rd in moto 1, 4th
in moto 2 and 4th again moto 3. With his consis- tent results he finished
with a 3rd overall in that class.
