>> When it is announced that qualifying will only be one session the mind of a racer can go two ways. Some will become excited, some will begin to panic, how quick can you gure out a track? How quick can you go fast? For Jason Anderson only having one qualifying ses- sion to post his fast lap and qualify for the night show would be smooth as sailing across the puddles of water that covered the Centurylink Field as he went out and quali ed rst by over a half second to Malcolm Stewart who would nish second. When the gate dropped in Heat Two Anderson looked like he wasn’t going to be near the front by turn one, but somehow he managed to run it in, and I mean run it in! On Blake Bagget around the rst turn, it’s amazing he was able to not hit Blake and take the both of them down. Anderson would be credited the holeshot and for the rst couple sections continue to turtle race Bagget before breaking away. After Jason was able to pass Blake he was riding incredible, had he not tipped over in the ice rink of a whoop section on lap two he most likely would have gone onto win Heat Two by double digits! However, a minor slip up in the whoops would drop him all the way down
to ninth, and then somehow by lap three he would be back up to second! He would endure another bobble throughout the race and have no chance of catching Tomac, but his race was no doubt impressive. Just like in his Heat Race Jason ran his bike hard into turn one and held the inside and this time slipped through for second right behind Musquin to start the Main Event. He made short work of Marvin by doubling through the treacherous opening rhythm lanes and began to leave the pack behind through the rst six laps of the Main Event; basi- cally what he looked poised to do earlier in his Heat Race. Unfortunately his luck in his Heat race followed him to his Main Event as on lap six he would fall, lose the lead to Tomac, and be unable to move back into the number one spot. While Jason will be bummed on another second Seattle was still a great ride for him as being in his position he doesn’t need to battle for these wins. His points lead can allow him not to, but Jason wants to win whether he’s got a hefty points lead on if he’s down on points and that’s what makes watching him inch closer to this title so enjoyable.
