>> Nothing screams true holiday spirit, like the antics of an end-of-summer extrava- ganza. The fans were lining the fences, barbecuing, fire pits; you name it, they were there to cheer on their hero’s from their respective homeland’s, and Jeremy Van Horebeekwas feeding off of it. Riding towards the fans, he would rev the 450 to the moon, all the while giving a high-five to every dangling arm reaching over the fences. The smile was a mile-wide, and he looked to translate his personality into the moto finishes. Never getting flustered off the gate of the first moto, he would stay poised through the immense chaos of the 450 roost. Spraying small pellets and clods, it was as though an AK-47 were peppering his chest, as he followed the pack in front of him. Nothing could phase him, and his tenacity was rewarded with a solid tenth place finish at the stripe. One last go around, for this one off event, and it was time to set sail from the North American territory. Looking to captivate his inner emotion from the first moto, he was having quite the success in the early going. The effort was there, fighting for every position he could, all the while tallying a further point in the record books. Cresting the giant anthills with subtle swipe, it was all he could do to take the bike on two wheels to the finish line. The fenders, scuffed with black rubber marks, were a true indication of the abuse the bike was taking. He would complete his run with a nonchalant look back over his shoulder, just making sure that the competition was far enough behind. It was, and he would rally to the finish, claiming ninth place, and ninth overall on the day.
