KILPATRICK
moto, a 1:56. Two seconds faster than any other, he would claim the win over Joshua Gibbs and Blake Ashley. As the different pressure systems collided, the storm once again rolled in for the clashing of the main event gate. The pin drops, and going into the first corner, it’s Marcus Phelps who’s in contention for the win. He comes across timing and scoring out front, with Stilez Robertson all over the rear fender. And then there was the disastrous lap three. Phelps, never makes it across the line, and is forced to bow out, disappearing as though he was lost in the Bermuda Triangle. Robertson, registers 39th, and Jesse Flock, who had just sat the fastest lap, falls to 36th. Next in line you ask? Parker Mashburn, who manages to avoid all chaos, and take over the lead, with fellow Texan Grant Harlan within spitting distance. Mashburn, as seasoned as they come, remains in full-focus mode, all though the 111 behind is riding the loudest machine on the track. Mashburn holds on, crossing the finish line, signaling thumbs up to his familiar foe. He claims the championship, with a smile as wide as the Amarillo sky.
