in the second division, as the mix of both primary, and secondary colored machines pro- vided a blitz on the field. Jett, felt at home on
the track as it became slicker throughout the day, due to his native West Coast roots. Leb- lanc, felt the same, as Louisiana tracks, tend to become baked through- out the day. However, the West Coast flare would prevail, leav-
ing the Ragin Cajun
to settle for scraps. Reynolds and Leblanc again found themselves in a schoolyard scrap, and the scenario began to play out as the first one did. Reynolds, just a little bit faster coming out of the Gator Pit, and through the mechanics area, chipped away little by little; eventually pull- ing out to a two second lead. Don’t let the gap fool you however, as Leblanc matched the timecard of his Califor- nian adversary, it was just a tiny bit of marginal additions, accumulating everywhere. That, cou- pled with the gap lost on the start, equaled a slim bit of breathing room;
all that Jett needed to be honest. Veteran-like maturity, well beyond his age. He would go on to win the moto, claiming yet another tile to his resume. Leblanc, would take a very impressive second place.
