Joey Savatgy has been one of the few riders that have transferred amateur success into the pro ranks. Joey seems to be gaining great deals of confidence with every ride and is always one of the contenders for the win. Having barely missed out on the Supercross championship, Joey is now on a terror, doing everything he can to be at the top of the standings. Savatgy started off his motocross
season this year with quite the statement as he won both motos at Hangtown. He showed many that he was serious about 2016 and he was the talk of the media, that is until Glen Helen of course. A different rider it seemed, showed up in Southern California. Unfortunately, in this brutal sport “you are only as good as your last race.” Joey had an off weekend and honestly, everybody has them. He will be back and battling for win and there is no doubt about that. Colorado could easily be the place where he can find his way back to the front of the pack.
