Cooper didn’t have the best morning in the practice sessions at Thunder Valley. He qualified 10th overall but evidently knew that once the racing started, he would be ready. When moto one began, Cooper pulled a massive holeshot and focused on racing the rough and rutted track. Cooper’s teammate, Jeremy was determined to get into the lead on the first lap. They battled hard and even crossed the finish line side by side to take the green flag. Cooper was able to maintain the lead for a bit longer and Yamaha was running 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th on the third and fourth lap. Cooper was able to hold the lead for a solid ten more minutes but finally handed it over to teammate, Jeremy Martin.
