Broc started his morning off in Lakewood pretty decent and qualified his Jimmy John’s Suzuki in the 10th position. Broc scored a top ten the weekend before and was eager to back it up in Colorado. When the first 450 moto began, Broc fell victim to the long uphill start and came around the first corner inside the top 15. He went to work and started picking guys off immediately and was up to 10th by the end of lap 3. Unfortunately soon after this, the deep rutted track took Tickle down and he got back up in a very unfavorable position. He was now sitting in 27th place and had his work cut out for him if he wanted to salvage the day. He battled his way through the deep Colorado ruts and was able to salvage 14th place by the time the checkers flew. In the second moto, Broc knew he needed to keep the mistakes to a minimum and he did just that. He jumped off to a decent start and worked his way forward early. He found himself sitting in the 9th position by the end of lap four and seemed to settle in. He would ride a solid race and finish 9th place. Broc’s 14th and 9th positions would be good enough for an 11th overall on the day at Thunder Valley.
