TRISTAN CHARBONEAU
Where did Tristan Charbonneau come from? If you do not follow amateur racing, then you have most likely never heard his name before. Unlike the highly anticipated rookie Austin Forkner, Charboneau’s pro debut was not exactly planned. Usually a rider has a set plan as to when they are going to make their pro debut and allows themselves the time needed to prepare both physically and mentally. As for Tristan, he received a call from Geico Honda just a few weeks prior to the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series with
news that they needed him to turn pro now. With all eyes on Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner, Tristan’s debut was a bit over shadowed at first. Not only did he qualify inside the top five in practice, Tristan came out in moto one and put on an outstanding performance. Running in the front of the pack the entire moto and even applying a bit of pressure to the 2x motocross champ Jeremy Martin. Finishing a very impressive 6th in moto one and 8th overall on the day, Charbonneau has quickly established himself in the pro ranks. Already exceeding his expectations, Tristan’s pro career is off to a great start.
