Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Christophe Pourcel showed his speed and potential in Lakewood, Colorado finishing 3rd overall in the qualifying sessions. Although Pourcel is dealing with a nagging neck injury that he sustained during supercross, he continues to improve each weekend. Christophe did himself a favor in 450 moto one by grabbing a top ten start. Hovering around the tenth place position the entire race, the crafty frenchman made a few passes and finished the race in 8th place. Flying the flag for Rockstar Husqvarna in moto two as teammate Jason Anderson suffered from elevation sickness in moto number one and immediately flew home. A bad start left Pourcel buried in the pack crossing the finish in 20th on lap one. Moving forward without being claimed by the brutal Thunder Valley track, Christophe moved up to twelve place before the race came to an end. Pourcel ends round three of the series 9th overall with 8-12 moto scores.
