Round three of the Lucas Oil Motocross championship marks a step forward for the rider hailing from Ecuador. Martin Davalos brought speed to Lakewood, Colorado that we have not seen before. Using the power of his Rockstar Energy Husqvarna to get up the long start straight in 250 moto one, Davalos entered the first turn in 8th and battled right around the top five for the entire race. Exchanging positions a few different times, Martin ended the race in a solid 7th place. With so much talent in the 250 class, starts are incredibly important. A good start is just what Davlos needed to show that he can run the pace of any rider in the class. Exiting the first turn in third place, Davalos battled for the entire moto and got as far up as second place for a few laps. When the race came to an end Martin settled for an impressive 5th place, his best finish of the season. 7-5 moto scores left Martin Davalos with a 6th place overall.
