Kyle Cunningham is in the middle of rebuilding and getting himself back up to speed. At Toronto Supercross earlier in the year the Motorcycle Superstore Suzuki rider fractured his radius in his wrist and was out of competition for a few weeks. When outdoors started the team had a bike malfunction and was unable to
get things sorted out so he was scored two DNS’s. Now with two full race weekends under his belt Kyle is slowly getting back to race pace and it proved in moto two at Thunder Valley. Qualifying speed has never been Kyles specialty so qualifying 21st with 2:15.919 wasn’t to shocking. Moto one was pretty basic for Cunningham, starting outside of the top 20 and managing to score 19th by the finish. In race two, we seen
a whole new rider. The first lap was chaotic and Cunningham was in the thick of things, coming around lap one in 36th position and over 40 seconds behind. By the midway point Kyle was 25th and within 5 seconds
of the top 20. Kyle was also running a much faster pace then the riders ahead of him and was reeling them in fast. At the end of the 30 minute + 2 lap race Cunningham was able to get himself a well fought for 18th place finish. Expect Kyle to push towards the top 15 in this very stacked 250 class.
