RJ HAMPSHIRE
After the unfortunate events on the hillside of Hangtown, where RJ finished 15th, Hampshire was able to rebound and put up a top 10 performance last weekend at the glorified gnarliness of Glen Helen. Being able to use the dried up countryside to his advantage, RJ has now officially settled himself into 9th place in the overall standings; possibly being right where you’d expect him but those are my words, not his. Ohhh no, not RJ. Actually, what he expects, what RJ Hampshire the #31 Geico Honda rider expects, is greatness, a reputation of grandeur, to be recognized, respected and to be victorious proving that all the hours and time spent, the drops
of sweat dripped, all the broken bikes and especially that all the levers that were bent... were worth it. RJ is a racer and like the thirty-nine other riders out there, will continue to put in the hours, spend time, drip sweat, break bikes and bend levers in hopes of that very moment of significance. With Thunder Valley on the map and line choice a premium, RJ’s work is put to the test as he continues his press towards his moment in this year’s outdoor nationals. As seen at round two, RJ is capable with or without the start.
