COLT NICHOLS
Holeshots have kept Colt Nichols from where he wants to be so far this season. The second year kid
from Oklahoma showed us what he’s capable of in supercross with some blazing fast speed and podium performances. He has progressed so far since he turned pro and is 100% healthy for the first time in quite a few years. Training with fellow Oklahoman’s like Trey Canard, Justin Bogle, and Robbie Reynard has helped
trim the edges around his game and made him that much better of a rider. Unfortunately we have only got glimpses of his full potential this outdoor season. Bad starts have kept him buried deep in the field a majority of the motos. He finally had his breakthrough at High Point a few weeks ago capped with a very impressive come from behind sixth place finish. He would have had another top ten moto finish but a crash late in the moto kept him from securing one. He still finished seventh overall on the day and will be looking for a similar result this weekend at Red Bud after a dismal showing at Muddy Creek.
