After a disastrous set of opening events to begin the All-Star class, Tennant emerged second, trailing only Iowa’s Cameron Mcadoo. The Yamaha relished on the slick surface, tending to ride a gear tall, but somehow making the machine grip with optimum traction, due to the absurd amount of momentum he would carry. Rhythm lanes, triples, and sand were no problem for the number 71, as he would conquer all with precision. And after a mistake from Mcadoo, it was Tennant who remained composed, all the while jousting with Mitchell Falk. A satisfactory smirk lurked beneath the goggles after lap six, and Tennant would go onto take the second spot on the podium. Bad things happen when you aren’t at the front of the field, and unfortunately Challen had to learn that first hand for the beginning of the second moto. A miscalculation by LaFountaine caused an absolute traffic jam in the opening rhythm section, creating a sea of destruction for the field that followed; and Challen had nowhere to go.
