As the gate fell for the opening Supermini event, Max Miller wished ever so certainly that he could be granted a re-do and attempt to claim a holeshot once again; in reality however, he had to deal with the task at hand and push through the enormous adversity that faced him. Fourteenth by lap two, he had some of the hottest names in the sport to battle with; these weren’t any matters to be taken lightly, and Miller’s inner drive began to take hold. Creeping lap by lap, his exceptional speed around the bowl turns was apparent, clicking gears while others began to slow and coast. His technique flourished, resulting in a few more gains by the checkered flag, and score of ten for the first moto. Man, does Max Miller have some raw speed, if he could just find the missing link and get through the first lap at the front
of the field, he could really contend for race wins. As timing and scoring had him in ninth on the opening board, Miller was in an all to familiar positon; relying on his bag of tricks to claw through the field and come away with the finish he know he should have. Names such as Tijero, Frye, and Rogers all lay in front of him, and were swept off the list in an instant. Wheeling through the sand rollers, he tended to really keep the momentum through the bottomless pit, his style relishing on the roughest part of the course. Charging until the absolute last second, the young man would go onto finish fourth place; and an outstanding sixth place overall.
