STILEZ ROBERTSON
Team Green Kawasaki’s Stilez Robertson has had a 2016 season full of ups and downs. The spring nationals went fairly smooth for the youngster out of Bakersfield, CA; he took home number one plates
from the JS7 Freestone Championships as well as the Daytona RCSX. Robertson showed off his supercross skills at Daytona by earning 1st place overall in the Mini-Sr 1 class. He won a moto in the Mini-Sr 2 class as well, but a pair of 18th place finishes would hinder his overall result. He returned to California with a pair of titles from Freestone, winning the Mini-Sr 1 class as well as the Supermini 1 class. Since he was coming into the Ranch as a former champion in the 85cc class, he would have been disappointed with his pair of 13th place finishes this year in Supermini, but it was one of the most challenging years in recent memory with torrential downpours and smoldering hot humidity. DNF’s were the downfall that seriously affected his results. Although he failed to make it on the podium, he still showed the speed that earned him a ride with one of the most prestigious amateur programs in the sport. Robertson will be looking to emulate some of his performances from the Daytona RCSX and put his
name in a group with some of the sport’s most successful amateurs if he can pull of the win at MEC.
