TRISTAN CHARBONEAU
A member of the Amsoil/Factory Connection Honda Racing team and most likely a future
member of the Geico Honda professional team, Tristan is on the fast track to the next class.
Not necessarily being a dominant A rider, Charboneau brings consistency down to the biggest state in the continental United States from the Northwest territory of Washington. Not just consistency, in fact, but history too as the #216 rider has won multiple times at Freestone, including a 450 A class title in Wortham last year and a 450 B title in 2014. Not enough proof? He also finished top 5 at Lorretta’s in 2015, while sweeping both B classes the year before in 2014. 1+1+2 = Speed and Tristan isn’t afraid to let it hang out, banging bars with the best in the amateur biz.
The cool thing about the Factory Connection Honda squad is they remain in close contact with the Geico squad providing all their racers with as prime of training partners as talent can buy. Having nothing but plans to reorganize the upcoming Texas clay into the fast lines, you have to expect to see Charboneau up front, battling for not only position but the lead. Racing against the likes of Forkner, Sexton, Cantrell and Taft, it’ll be a true trial of Charboneau to pull out a repeat to last year’s outcome. Despite the surrounding talent, Freestone’s going to provide the kids lining the fences a shot at seeing what hard work and pure ability can do to in chasing their dreams, as they watch Charboneau and the boys duke it out.
