Incorporating a very normal theme to amateur racing, the small #930 bike had its ups and downs on the rough outdoor-style circuit of Freestone. Following the normal two-moto format, each class provided insight into the struggles of Dennis’s
weekend, with the older ages providing a bit stiffer competition. In his main class, the 4-6 limited division, Seth proved experience can win races, sweeping both moto’s in the event. Showing such control over the class in which he would be considered an elder, Seth led all the laps and posted the fastest time of either race on the final lap of the final moto, riding away with ease to the win. Moving to the 6-7 class, the 7-year-olds proved to be too much as young Dennis could only muster an 8th overall after having 8th and 9th place moto’s respectively. Interestingly enough, none of the seven riders ahead of him were lined up in the 4-6 class, further revealing his utter dominance of ages 6 and under. Unfortunately for Dennis, though, his success was hindered as he lined up in the brutal 4-8 class. With the widest age range of any of the
51cc classes, Seth struggled in both moto’s barely breaking the top 20. Be that as it may, don’t let the results take away any credit from the future superstar as he was still able to compete mid-pack out of nearly 40 fast youngsters. All together, it may not have been quite the week of racing he was looking for, but Dennis is still 2 for 2 with a title at each of his last two major events. Looking at it as possibly a foreshadow to the 2016 season, Dennis should be considered a heavy hitter in the lightest class on the track.
