The Open Pro Sport class seemed like a good idea, but Izzi wasn’t quite ready for the couch to 5k once he made a few laps and felt the pace of one of the premier divisions. After dabbling inside the top ten for a few moments, he came to the conclusion that it’d be best to focus on competing with fellow veterans
rather than the rowdy hooligans of Pro-Am status, and prepare for a title run.
25(+) allowed Izzi to race some familiar faces and ease himself back into the vigorous rush of competing. Moto number one saw Izzi holeshot and set the fastest lap of the moto, but a little pressure from Chad Givens couldn’t allow him to get too comfortable. The final race saw him place third, just narrowly missing the title and going home with second overall.
