The Monster Energy Team Green Kawasaki rider of Jordan Bailey came to Freestone poised
to make an impact. Although the #133 did score 2 moto wins with his worst finish of the week being a 2nd he was unable to clinch a title. Bailey lined up in Schoolboy 2 (13-16), 250 B, and 250 All-Star 14+ Sportsman. Jordan did his best to win a title but unfortunately for him, Mitchell Falk also showed up to Freestone and straight up dominated every class he entered. The Team Green rider was in heat 1 for the schoolboy 2 class and started up front and held a steady 3 second lead on Pierce Brown. Bailey was able to match the pace of Falk early in the Schoolboy main he even posted the fastest lap of the race, but was unable to carry the same speed as Falk as the moto hit the midway point.
Bailey showed what he could do in his heat race in the 250 B race as he started outside of the top ten and quickly ran through the field by lap four and held on for the win. With an impressive heat race win, Bailey had his eyes set to dethrone the #612 of Falk. The 30 second board was up and the 250 B main was underway. Falk jumped out front right away while Bailey started outside of the top five and had to pick off riders to get up front. Jordan got into second place with two laps remaining but was unable to close the the gap Falk produced throughout the race. It was time for the 250 All Star 14+ Sportsman class and Bailey really wanted to make sure he wasn’t leaving Freestone without a championship. In Moto 1
and 2 we saw both front runners start first and second and the battle for the lead was on. This was the first time Falk had to withstand pressure from the Team Green rider as Jordan finally got starts up front. Mitchell was able to pull 5 seconds on Jordan by the time the race finished. Moto 2 seen Jordan get another good start right behind Falk. There was fire in the eyes of Bailey as he was finally able to match the speed of Mitchell and charged the whole moto. JB#133 set the fastest lap of
the race at the midway point and was on the heals of Falk. Jordan closed a near 3 second gap down to under one second but still fell short of the moto win and championship. The #133 doesn’t line up on the gate to get second and he will be at the drawing board and will be training harder than ever to make sure he is at the front of the field.
