Moto 1 in the 250 C class was a walk in the park for the KTM rider as he led from the first lap till lap 6. Having the confidence to manage a race is one of the skills that is hard for some young racers. Nerves sometimes end up creeping in and small mistakes
happen. Not with Max Lee. Lee was calm and collected as he dominated the moto. Moto 2 saw @ maxlee_50 in 5th place after lap one in the 250 C class. Knowing in his heart he was the fastest in the class, Lee collected himself and methodically worked his way into the lead by the 4th lap, and only looked back to make sure the checkered flag was waving. Lee walked away with the #1 plate for the 250 C class with style and grace. The 250 C limited class was a different story, but it allowed everybody to see that even when times get rough Max doesn’t
quit under adversity. Moto 1 had him in a comfortable 3rd place after lap 1 and he easily worked his way into 2nd quickly. Not being able to catch the Leader Kyle White in this moto left Maxx in a comfortable 2nd place with his eyes on winning moto 2. Everyone will eventually have a moto where nothing works out for them, and moto 2 of the 250 C limited class was one of those times. Starting mid pack was not ideal and then Lee had some troubles, which left him outside the top 20. Collecting himself like a seasoned racer he didn’t quit and gritted out a 19th place finish for the race. Max finished in 9th overall, but there was much more to take away from this race. Knowing a rider won’t quit when times gets rough shows his sponsors they have a guy that will fight every time he swings a leg over his bike. 250 C Jr was another great class for @maxlee_50 as he dominated over his main competition of the week in the name of Kyle White. Every moto saw White keep Lee close, but he wasn’t able to hold him back as Lee worked his way past him to win the first moto. The second moto was an all-out brawl that went down to the last lap, when Max Lee took over first place to cruise on to the win and the overall championship. It was a great week for the KTM Troy Lee Designs rider who put the fastest laps of his classes in almost every moto he was in. There is so much more to come from this young racer, and we can’t wait to see it.
