Davalos is out, and it appears to be a three horse race. Jeremy sits behind his gate, pondering, visualizing what’s about to unfold. The gate drops, the roar of engines engulf the left hander, and it all goes blurry.
“Martin is down, Martin is down” he scrambles to pick his bike off the ground
as Ralph screams through the microphone. Does he choose to become frustrated
and panic? Or gather his thoughts and prepare to unleash havoc on the field?
The latter is chosen, but it would be far from a pleasant task, as he registered in 19th across timing and scoring for the opening segments. 14th on lap four, the Minnesota native really meant business, and set his sights on the front of the field. On lap seven, the grid listed him in eighth position, and looking to propel forward.
On the brink of lap eight, Martin found himself peeking into the top five, hungry to destroy the pack that lay ahead. Frye, Bloss, Audette, all in a pinch, were obliterated and Martin was on the podium with seven to go. Knocking on Bisceglia’s door, Matt politely greeted and opened, letting the Star Racing pilot take second.
With Justin Hill in front by an astonishing 20 seconds, Jeremy decided to pull the chute and comfortably cruise to the finish line. What an absolutely outstanding ride, as he kept his championship dreams
alive for another round.
